Stephen is Artistic Advisor for The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse.
He is also a freelance director. Current projects include Ellen & Rigby (The Royal Court, Liverpool), and NHS: The Musical! (Theatre Royal, Plymouth).
Stephen has been performing since 2002- graduating from LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) with a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Acting.
Since then, he has worked extensively in Theatre, TV, Radio and Voiceovers.
He has regularly appeared on stage in numerous productions in Liverpool, as well as touring across the UK and appearing in the West End. He has also
one of the original members of The Old Vic New Voices Company, and a regular voice on TV commercials, Audible dramas and audiobooks, and Radio 4 Drama.
He is the Director and Producer of Life In Theatre Productions Ltd,
specialising in the production of Theatre, Musicals, and new
writing. It was formed in 2012 after the success of David Mamet's A Life in the Theatre
which he directed, produced and appeared in. Since then, and alongside his acting work, he has produced Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys, Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last 5 Years, and written, directed and produced a number of shows and events, including his disco spoof musical, Mam! I'm 'ere!, which, as well as having the support and blessing of the original creators of Mamma Mia!, has reached an audience of 50,000 people in Liverpool. Stephen is also writing and collaborating/directing on a number of projects to feed into Life In Theatre Productions, as well as guest director at The Liverpool Media Academy, RARE Studios, and is the head director of a new CIC, Culture in the Community, taking drama across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
